Timney Triggers 667-S AR-15/AR-10 Trigger Upgrade install video aTimney Triggers was kind enough to send us the Timney Triggers Competition AR trigger for small pin receivers, model 667-S. This is a cartridge type trigger that drops in to the empty trigger well of an AR-15 or AR-10 lower receiver and reports a light 3 pound trigger pull weight. In this video Josejuan shows us how to install the Timney model 667-S trigger.
Overall, this is a very simple install, with very basic steps:

  1. Insert the Timney trigger cartridge in the trigger well of the lower receiver,
  2. Insert the trigger pins (don’t let them fall out, they will be loose at this point)
  3. Install one allen screw in each side of the Timney trigger cartridge so that they extent through the bottom of the cartridge and push the Timney trigger cartridge up, putting light binding pressure on the pins (this is what holds the pins in)
  4. Install one allen screw on top of each of the allen screws from step 3. The second screws are the lock screws to keep the first set of screws from backing out.
  5. Test the Timney trigger installation for proper function
