If your camping hammock underquilt sags at the ends and does not seal properly, it may be that raising the ends of the underquilt will help. These “Triangle Thingies” can help some folks that have ridgeline equipped hammocks to solve the problem and stay warmer at night. They are very light, easy to make or inexpensive to buy. They also spread the friction over a wider area to avoid rubbing through the hammock’s bug net.
This is a great DIY MYOG project for hammock campers, scouts, etc. You’ll find directions on how to make them here:
I made a set of Triangle Thingies for my Warbonnet Blackbird camping hammock clone/DIY FrankenBird hammock. They work very well with my Kick Ass Quilt’s inspired DIY fleece and nylon underquilt and my DIY Insultex Underquilt.
